LOGLINE

Renata's brother is away at war in the east of Ukraine. One day she gets a work assignment to take care of a young man who comes from the enemy's country.

 

SYNOPSIS

It is 2014, a war on the East of Ukraine is unfolding. While Russia disguises its participation in the war, young men from different parts of Ukraine go to the East to defend their country. While families are fleeing the war areas in the East, the rest of the country and its capital Kiev seems to be peaceful. Renata is a young woman who lives in Kiev with her mother and works in an advertising agency. Her brother, Kiril, is away at war in the east of Ukraine. One day she gets a job assignment to take care of Sasha, an actor and a skateboarder who comes from Russia to perform tricks for a commercial video… A subtle drama about life in Kiev in the context of the current war, Kiev Moscow explores the tensions caused by political conflict and its effects on the daily life of its citizens.
